Summertime is a great time to throw a magnificent backyard party. The ladies of Soirée Planners have stepped in to give us the rundown on the summer party trend list.
Bamboo chairs & chargers will make any backyard look tropical. Use fish-themed stemware & plates. Create a coral centerpiece – spray-painted coral with floral accents, sand and seashells.
Create simple centerpieces of white flowers with miniature flags. If you like, incorporate flags from the native countries of your guests. Considering the diverse cultures in our city, you should have plenty to choose from!
Coordinate the centerpieces and place settings using popular colors from each region.
Make it a pot luck! Each guest is invited to bring some food from a different country. This is fun because it gets everyone involved and makes for some delicious conversation when discussing the dishes.
A deep red color scheme will set the mood.
Serve red wine pairings with your dinner
menu; consult your favorite restaurant for wine pairing ideas. Print menus using your home printer. Include what you’ll be serving along with their wine pairings. Tuck them into the place settings to make your guests feel special. Use a grape theme throughout the party. Place small bunches of artificial grapes on the table tops to give your guests the feeling and ambiance of a Tuscan winery.
